PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
ALABAMA COURT REFERRAL
EDUCATION PROGRAM (SUBSTANCE ABUSE – DUI LEVEL I, LEVEL
II, YOUTH & JUVENILE PROGRAM)
Level I is a 12 hour
program designed to educate the DUI offender about the
risks and consequences of alcohol and other drug use.
Level II is an intensive 24 hour course designed for
aggravated and repeat offenders and involves group
participation. Level I and Level II, programs are
certified through the ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF
COURTS. The Insight Treatment Program
maintains AOC contracts for DUI in the following counties:
Conecuh, Clarke, Dale, Escambia, Geneva, Monroe, and Washington.
ALABAMA DRIVER EDUCATION
PROGRAM (ADEP LEVEL I & LEVEL II)
Level I
is a four hour course that includes the latest in
Alabama laws, road rage, rules of the road, defensive
driving techniques, etc. Level II is an advanced eight
hour course suggested for aggravated and repeat
offenders. Approved by the ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC SAFETY.
ANGER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A four session twelve
hour advanced course designed to address negative and
deviant behavior of anti-social offenders. Continuous
monitoring available at the judges discretion.
CRIMES OF THEFT PROGRAM
LV I and LV II- Level I
is a 4 hour course and Level II is an 8 hour course designed to prevent theft through
individual behavior modification training. Students
learn about the problem of theft and the legal response
to the problem. They learn about personal and social
consequences related to theft, and ways to control and
eliminate theft behavior.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
INTERVENTION PROGRAM
A
sixteen week course designed to assess, educate, and
rehabilitate the serious and repeat domestic abuser. The
program was developed and based on the
Cognitive-Behavioral, Psycho-Educational, and
Pro-feminist models. This program is certified by the
ALABAMA COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT
PROGRAM
An intensive twenty-eight
week Level III program designed to enable individuals
eighteen years and older with drug and alcohol
dependencies to overcome the debilitating effects of
these addictions. The goal of the program is total
sobriety and development of a lifestyle that will
support effective long-range freedom from chemical
dependency. To achieve these goals the intensive
outpatient program provides three phases of
treatment. Certified by the ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF
MENTAL HEALTH.
LIFE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A ten week intensive
course dealing with basic skills of life, designed to
break the cycle of crime by educating the defendant on
goal setting, influences, communication, relationships,
finances, and ethics. The course is conducted once a
week for two hours per session.
